As far as my brain can recall, I have been an avid “The Sims” game player since as I was (really) young. And now that I am actually turning 23 on December, I have not yet thought of giving up my simming-life as long the game is existing— I swear. EA should give me my loyalty cookie award by now.
For many, many years of playing “The Sims” game, I guess it would be fun to have my take on which expansion packs are the best must-haves for The Sims players.
To be quite specific, I have been playing “The Sims 3” even though the franchise have already released “The Sims 4” few years ago.
Hey, you can’t blame me… The Sims 3 isn’t really easy to let go of. I mean it’s really just that good!
There are total of eleven (11) expansion packs released under The Sims 3 franchise. And I loved six of them… yes, six of them. Can I cry now?
So, here goes my Top 6 “The Sims 3” Expansion Packs.
If you are looking for which expansion pack/s to get for your The Sims 3 gameplay,
then I hope that this blog may help you out!
Supernatural is the seventh expansion pack released for The Sims 3.
The supernatural creatures featured in this expansion pack includes:
Witches, Wizards, Werewolves, Vampires, Ghosts, and Fairies.
All these creatures you can play on are filled with their own magical abilities and amusing traits that we all know we really love.
University Life is the ninth expansion pack released for The Sims 3.
If you’d want your Sims to go into college and actually be there to help them make it pass their University Life and graduate with flying colors, then this expansion is for you.
This one includes many fun features and some of them would be joining the social network with use of smartphones, host or attend the wildest colleagues parties, take up a major for a specific passion, graduate University to excel in professional jobs, and many more.
Pets is the fifth expansion pack released for The Sims 3.
I mean, duh? Who wouldn’t want to have their own fluff bears roaming around the Sims world? This expansion includes owning/adopting several kinds of pets such as Dogs, Cats, Horses, Lizards, Turtles, Snakes, and Birds. There are also few NPCs (non-playable) such as Deer, Raccoons, and Wild Horses.
If you plan to get this expansion, please take good care of them lovely pets, a’right?
Late Night is the third expansion pack released for The Sims 3.
If you have that dreams of being in the limelight or just being as wild and free under the bright city sun then this expansion must be a perfect one.
Features included in this expansion comes with: celebrities (yeah, right?), night clubs, pent house apartments, and just all out luxury living. You may now chase the dream to total stardom with this expansion so if I were you, I’d get this.
Seasons is the eight expansion pack released for The Sims 3.
To make things more realistic around your Sims town, then I’d suggest you dive in to this expansion. I mean, having to experience different seasons such as Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter all throughout your gameplay, wouldn’t that cap off a total simming experience? Aside from that, there are many fun festivals happening in each season! Imagine having to skate in ice during the Winter, or braving up the Hunted House during Fall, I hope I have made it clear by now how nice this was.
Generations is the fourth expansion pack released for The Sims 3.
This would be the expansion that I will say have peaked the franchise. Your Sims’ life have never been made realistic as how this one have made it so. Features of this are mostly focused on the actual family life of a Sims from young ones, teenagers, and adults— carrying along its great ups and downs. The dramatic and yet really fun experience that this one affects the entire game have really straight up gave the game a fulfilling time.
That’s it for my Top 6 “The Sims 3” Expansion Packs!
Generally, the entire expansion packs released for the franchise would really give players great satisfaction. If you want to get all 11 of them or just as picky as me but still wanted to experience a more realistic yet super fun The Sims 3 gameplay, I am sure you wouldn’t regret spending hours and hours of being lost in a world created by you.
